Samantha-Rae Mclean was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She served as a member of the Jamaica Youth Theatre and has been in many plays in Jamaica where she has worked with thespians like Aston Cooke. After receiving a scholarship to the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles at the World Championships of Performing Arts, with aspiration to pursue an acting career she moved to New York City and completed a diploma in acting on film at NYFA. While living in New York Samantha-Rae has performed in several off-Broadway productions like Heru Khuti's My Brothers' Keeper and Harlan Penn's My Country Men just to name a few. She has recently been exploring her writing abilities and currently have several poems to her name. She has performed her most popular spoken word poem Happiness in several states in the US and also here in Canada where she recently relocated. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her dreams.
