Michelle is a consummate professional, with an unwavering love for Jamaica and her Jamaican Culture. She is not new to the performing arts having grown up in Jamaica where she performed at numerous school and church competitions from Primary School through to her College years, and subsequently in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Festival Competitions.
As a school Guidance Counsellor in Jamaica, she mastered the art of infusing music and drama to enhance learning in the classroom. Michelle has over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector and exhibited exemplary leadership skills in both Program Operations and Human Resources. She has since transitioned into corporate Human Resources, bringing her wealth of experience and unique insights to the corporate world.
She is an avid volunteer serving as Vice President of the Jamaican Canadian Association, Toronto and is a Montego Bay High School, Alumni Association Toronto Chapter member.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education (U of T OISE); Teaching Diplomas in Music Education and Guidance and Counseling; Certificates in Human Resources, Solution-Focused Brief Coaching and Psychological Safety in the Workplace.
